As we reflect on this transformative year, we celebrate several significant milestones that demonstrate the strength and progress of our School of Nursing. It has been a year marked by continuity and change, with a deep commitment to excellence in nursing education, as you will see in this Year in Review.
First, we bid a fond farewell to our dean, Dr. Ken White, who has retired after a tenure defined by visionary leadership and dedication to advancing our mission. We successfully achieved our 10-year CCNE reaccreditation, launched a 12-month Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing, engaged in global experiences, and expanded programs in nursing education supported by the Department of Labor.
I am honored to serve as Interim Dean and grateful to work with our esteemed faculty and staff every day. Their commitment to student success is evident in their dedication and innovation to shape the future of nursing and healthcare. Our outstanding students continue to inspire us with their pledge to promote health equity and care for a diverse population.
I am grateful to our clinical and community partners, alums, and donors for their unwavering support of our nursing programs. I am confident that the strong foundation we have built, combined with the dedication and innovation of our community, will move us toward even more remarkable accomplishments this coming year.
