We develop team-based clinicians who practice collaboratively, improve health outcomes and provide safe and equitable, client-centered care. High-functioning teams can upgrade the patient and family experience and decrease costs while insulating clinicians against burnout.

Our Center's commitment to interprofessional education at the IHP can be seen through innovative curriculum design, clinical experiences in our Sanders IMPACT Practice Center, events and projects.

Welcome from the Dean

Welcome to the MGH Institute's Center for Interprofessional Education and Practice. In our community of learners, education is conducted in an interprofessional graduate academic setting where innovative curriculum, research labs, and state of the art facilities support intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. By embedding the interprofessional competencies into all programs of study at the IHP, teaming and interprofessional collaboration is seen as a core element of what it means to be an effective health professional.  I encourage you to learn more about our nationally recognized IMPACT Practice curriculum, our diverse simulation–based learning opportunities, and the pro-bono services offered through the Sanders IMPACT Practice Center. At the Institute, interprofessionalism is not just a concept on paper—it is deeply ingrained in our mission, vision, and daily practice.
