In this challenging time, the IMPACT Practice Center, which includes the Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language and Literacy, and Aphasia Centers, has suspended all on-site client visits for the remainder of the current semester through April 30, 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 Outbreak.

Welcome to the Speech, Language and Literacy Center (SLLC) at the MGH Institute of Health Professions, located in the Charlestown Navy Yard of Boston.

The Speech, Language and Literacy Center is part of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at the graduate school.

We offer comprehensive assessment, therapy and specialty services for both developmental and acquired disorders of speech and language, helping people of all ages communicate more effectively. Learn more about the Speech Center services.

Clinicians at the Center

Graduate students enrolled in our Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program, and those enrolled in our Certificate of Advanced Study in Literacy and Language program work with children and adults with communication and reading difficulties. Our clinicians are mentored by certified and licensed faculty members of the CSD Department who closely supervise all sessions.
