Providing care to help clients successfully participate in activities of daily life
In The Tabor/Connor Family Occupational Therapy Center for Learning, Participation, and Rehabilitation (Tabor/Connor OT CLiPR), students apply what they have learned in the classroom by providing pro-bono services to youth and adult client volunteers from the greater Boston community. These client volunteers have a variety of physical, developmental, mental, or behavioral health needs that impact their ability to successfully participate in their lives. Experienced OT faculty and licensed practitioners closely supervise the students.
Within the OT CLiPR is the Functional Living Lab (FLL), an apartment-style setting where students guide clients to practice life skills such as self-care tasks, meal planning and cooking, budgeting, and pre-work skills.
