Tabor/Connor Family Occupational Therapy Center

We continue to work closely with MGH and Partners HealthCare in monitoring the most up to date information from the CDC and state and local public health officials. The Institute of Health Professions and the IMPACT Practice Center will continue to use their guidance and expertise to inform our decisions and will reopen only as the situation allows - the IPC will remain closed to all on-site client visits for the foreseeable future, including the beginning of the summer semester.

The Tabor/Connor Family Occupational Therapy Center for Learning, Participation, and Rehabilitation (Tabor/Connor OT CLiPR) is an active-learning area which includes a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. It allows students in the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program to seamlessly move from the classroom and immediately put into practice what they learned without leaving the lab.

The Tabor/Connor OT CLiPR has cutting-edge video capture technology that enables students to view and review activities that happen in spaces where they are not having direct contact with a client. Each student also has an opportunity to try things out for themselves in the OT Center. It’s a much better way for students to learn and not worry about making a mistake.

Within CLiPR, occupational therapy students also learn to assess, intervene, and provide specialty services at no cost to clients of all ages in the Boston community and beyond.

CLiPR is part of the IMPACT Practice Center at Two Constitution Wharf (2CW) in the Charlestown Navy Yard.
