Hello! I’m Ava, your AI advisor. How can I help you today?

A 6-month research-intensive course focused on designing, evaluating, and publishing AI-driven innovation in healthcare simulation.

For Individuals          For Organizations

Build the skills to design, conduct, and publish rigorous research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, healthcare simulation, and medical education innovation. This course guides participants from research concept to publication submission. Through a structured combination of asynchronous learning, live instruction, and faculty mentorship, participants develop rigorous, publishable research focused on healthcare simulation and emerging AI applications.

For Individuals

This is a 6-month course guiding the participant from conception of research to a publication submission.

Month 1-3: Asynchronous Foundations in Healthcare Simulation Research
Participants complete self-paced modules introducing the foundations of healthcare simulation research and emerging AI applications, including study design, data collection, analysis, and responsible use of AI in research workflows.

Month 4: 4-day Intensive (In-Person or Virtual)
A hands-on intensive offered either in-person in Boston, MA or virtually, where participants refine their research focus and advance their study design and scientific writing toward a publication-ready project.

Month 5: Virtual Data Analysis Session + Independent Research
Participants attend a 1-day virtual session focused on data analysis and interpretation, followed by dedicated time to advance their research and writing with faculty support.

Month 6: 2-day Virtual Writing Workshop
A focused writing workshop where participants develop and refine their manuscript with the goal of submission to a peer-reviewed journal.

Optional: Presentation Workshop
Participants may enroll in an optional Presentation Workshop to prepare for presenting their work.

For Organizations

This six-month course brings the AI-HSR Course directly to your institution to build internal research capacity, support faculty scholarship, and advance innovation in healthcare simulation and AI-enabled education.

We partner with healthcare institutions, simulation centers, and academic programs to deliver our faculty-led AI-HSR Course, guiding participants from research concept through publication while building sustainable institutional research capacity.

Through a structured, cohort-based model, your team progresses through a six-month experience that combines asynchronous learning, live instruction, and hands-on mentorship.

By the end of the program, participants will have:

  • An IRB-ready research proposal.
  • A structured data collection and analysis plan.
  • A manuscript prepared for submission.

At the institutional level, this translates to enhanced research output and alignment with strategic priorities in innovation and AI integration.

Key Features:

  • Cohort model: Up to 12 participants (expandable to 20).
  • Taught by internationally recognized experts in simulation research.
  • Includes curriculum, research coaching, and structured mentorship.
  • Includes specialized content in AI integration and trust engineering; exploring the credibility, reliability, and application of artificial intelligence in simulation-based education and assessment.

Site Requirements:

  • Classroom or simulation lab space
  • Zoom or Teams access for virtual sessions
  • A staff liaison to coordinate local logistics
