Dr. Calhoun is an accomplished scholar and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles NS abstracts related to simulation-based training as applied to healthcare. Areas of interest include in-situ simulation, assessment and evaluation, and simulation ethics. He has also co-edited two books: Healthcare Simulation Research: A Practical Guide, and Stories from the ICU. The former is the first work focused on healthcare simulation research methods ever published, and the latter details the results of a lengthy qualitative study examining second-victim syndrome and resilience among pediatric intensivists.

Dr. Calhoun has published numerous papers - some titles are highlighted below. You can view a complete listing of Dr. Adams' publications in his CV or in his research link.
