Master of Science in Genetic Counseling
The MGH Institute of Health Professions’ Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Genetic Counseling (ACGC), Inc. This program DOES meet the pre-licensure educational requirements for all states issuing licenses for Genetic Counselors. The list of states includes:

Doctor of Occupational Therapy
The MGH Institute of Health Professions’ Doctor of Occupational Therapy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE). This program DOES meet the pre-licensure educational requirements for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Master of Physician Assistant Studies
The MGH Institute of Health Professions’ Master of Physician Assistant Studies program is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), Inc. This program DOES meet the pre-licensure educational requirements for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Entry Level Doctor of Physical Therapy
The MGH Institute of Health Professions’ Entry-Level Doctor of Physical Therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). This program DOES meet the pre-licensure educational requirements for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology
The MGH Institute of Health Professions’ Master of Science in speech language pathology program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). This program DOES meet the pre-licensure educational requirements for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Certificate of Advanced Study in Literacy and Language
The MGH Institute of Health Professions’ Certificate of Advanced Study in Literacy and Language program is accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and is designed for Massachusetts educators with an initial license in another subject matter area who wish to become licensed as a reading specialist in Massachusetts. This program DOES meet the pre-licensure educational requirements for Massachusetts.

School of Nursing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The MGH Institute of Health Professions’ Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and accredited by The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). This program DOES meet the pre-licensure educational requirements for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

It is important that you be aware of all such requirements and that you plan accordingly.
Master of Science in Nursing
The pre-licensure portion of the MGH Institute of Health Professions’ Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing program is approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing and accredited by The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The Post-Licensure (Advanced Practice) portion of the Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing program is accredited by the CCNE. Program graduates are eligible to take the certification examination for their specialty, listed below:
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Examination offered by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- Examination offered by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Association of Critical Care Nurses
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Examination offered by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner
- Examination offered by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB)
- Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
- Examination offered by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Psychiatric/Mental Health Lifespan Nurse Practitioner
- Examination offered by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Dual Adult-Gerontology/Women's Health
- Examination offered by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
This program DOES meet the pre-licensure and pre-certification educational requirements for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
