MGH Institute Councils
The Academic Council serves as advisory to the Provost on matters of academic concern to the faculty and students of the Institute. The Academic Council is the primary coordinating body and leadership group for all of the academic programs and functions of the Institute. A number of key academic committees advise the Academic Council.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, chaired by President Paula Milone-Nuzzo, provides leadership for diversity, equity, and inclusion as a strategic priority of the Institute, and is responsible for advancing the Institute's diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
The MGH Institute is led by a team of academic and administrative directors who are responsible for the daily oversight of student education, faculty support, and other administrative functions related to the Institute's mission.
The Faculty Senate is the representative body to conduct the business of the Faculty. The Senate members include the elected officers and the elected or appointed members of the Standing Committees. The Senate reports its proceedings to the Faculty on a timely basis, distributing in advance its schedule of meetings, and informs the Faculty of significant issues coming before it.
Staff Council (Log in required)
The IHP Staff Council provides an official channel of communications between staff and administration. In addition, it provides professional development opportunities for staff, and regular community service projects, consistent with and supportive of the Institute’s mission, vision, and core values. Staff Council members are representatives of all MGH Institute staff. The staff council chair and chair-elect meet with the MGH Institute president on a monthly basis. Council members discuss current staff concerns and successes, share current events and news, determine dates and themes for General Staff Council Meetings, sit on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, and chair Staff Council sub-committees.
Student Government Association (SGA)
The Student Government Association (SGA) represents and serves the needs and interest of IHP students. Its mission includes management of all student clubs.
