Leadership seeks to develop programs, grow faculty research, more fully realize our commitments to diversity and interprofessional education, and further strengthen our relationships with Mass General Brigham and with our neighbors in Charlestown and the Navy Yard areas.

Our Board of Trustees hold fiduciary responsibility for the academic integrity and financial health of the MGH Institute, and set the strategic direction of the Institute, stewarding its resources and furthering its reputation.

The President’s Council serves as a bridge between President of MGH Institute of Health Professions, the Board of Trustees, the Institute community, and the community at large in Greater Boston and beyond. Its members serve as well-informed ambassadors for the IHP with a focus on bringing the message of the IHP to the wider world. The Council is integrated throughout the school via partnerships with the President, the Board of Trustees, the Chair of the Board of Trustees’ Development Committee, the Chief Development Officer, and the Chief of Staff.

Faculty and senior administration members who retire and have contributed a substantial proportion of their career or have made extraordinary contributions to the Institute may be offered Emerita/us status upon their retirement by action of the Board of Trustees and upon the recommendation of the President.
