A presidential inauguration marks an important moment for our University. We formally welcome a new leader while bringing together students, faculty, staff, alumni, partners, and friends to reflect on the University's history, affirm its shared values, and look ahead to its future. More than a ceremonial event, an inauguration creates an opportunity for our community to celebrate our collective achievements and unite around a renewed vision for our University's next chapter.

I am thrilled that Deborah has assumed the position of President of the MGH Institute of Health Professions. Her vision, academic experience and community focus is a perfect fit for bringing the IHP into the future. I know she will be a powerful force in Mass General Brigham, Boston and the larger academic community. I wish her all the joy I experienced as a member of the IHP community.
On behalf of the entire campus community and the Board of Trustees, I want to express our honor to have you serve as the President and John Hilton Knowles Professor for the Mass General Brigham University of Health Professions. We are thrilled to greet you as our new leader. Your experience and passion for health professions education inspire us. We trust your vision will guide this University to new heights. We look forward to working together to build a stronger future. We wish you great success in your new role and a wonderful transition into our campus and MGB family.
Congratulations, Deborah, on your inauguration. Your leadership is helping shape an extraordinary future for the University, expanding its impact on learners and the patients they will serve. I look forward to seeing our community continue to thrive under your leadership in this next chapter.
Congratulations on your appointment as President of the MGH Institute and welcome to the Charlestown Navy Yard. I wish you a successful tenure and look forward to working with you as an important organization member of the Friends of the Charlestown Navy Yard.
It is my distinct honor to congratulate Dr. Deborah J. Jones, colleague and friend, on her appointment as President. Our work, on the Board of AACN and as nurse leaders at the UTMB Medical Branch, Galveston was a gift of collaborative purpose and commitment to excellence in interprofessional team practice.
