Community IMPACT Day is a beloved University tradition that brings all incoming students together for a morning of team-based community service. This year’s event will take place on Friday, September 11, coinciding with the National Day of Service and making the experience especially meaningful.
Hundreds of students, faculty, and staff will volunteer with community partners across Charlestown, East Boston, Newton, and the greater Boston area. All 64 interprofessional IMPACT teams will be assigned a service activity, giving students an opportunity to support local organizations, learn more about the communities they will serve throughout their health care careers, and leave each site a little better than they found it.
Faculty, staff, PhD and post-professional students, and students who have completed IMPACT I and II are invited to sign up as team leaders and help supervise a Community IMPACT Day team. Sign up here.
