As an innovative and independent graduate school operating within the framework of Mass General Brigham, the MGH Institute is a progressive leader in developing comprehensive models of health care education. Placements at regional facilities are carefully cultivated to provide you the best opportunity to practice what you have learned in the classroom. Plan for access to transportation - students typically use a car to access clinical placements.
In addition, you will immediately apply what you are learning in our on-campus practical labs and IMPACT Practice Center. The well-equipped spaces provide a range of skills development opportunities for supervised individual and group practice of patient care activities.

Simulation
Students gain valuable experience working in the Shouse simulation and physical assessment labs, where several high-fidelity interactive manikins - including pediatric and birthing - simulate conditions under the observation of faculty members.

Dr. Charles A. and Ann Sanders IMPACT Practice Center
At this on-campus clinical treatment center, under the watchful eyes of experienced faculty clinicians, students treat clients who have exhausted their insurance benefits or cannot afford treatment.

Acute-Care Skills Lab
Learn in a simulated hospital environment, ideal for developing your core skills and competencies prior to going out on clinical rotations. Practice what you are learning with classmates and manikins, as well as standardized patients under the supervision of faculty and clinical instructors.
