Photo ID Badges
MGH institute students, faculty, and staff are considered employees of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) for identification purposes. You are assigned a nine-character, computer-generated ID number and issued a photo ID badge which you are required to wear whenever you are on campus or in any Mass General Hospital facility.
You will receive your photo ID badge as part of your hiring process. It should be programmed for access you need at the Institute as part of your signing-on. If you have any questions or issues with your photo ID badge, please contact Facilities Manager Diane Nolan. Submit a HelpDesk ticket, selecting as the help topic General Operations Issues.
The badges are produced and controlled by the Mass General Police and Security Department. Read their policy and procedures for photo ID for permanent new hire employees.
