A research-intensive simulation course designed for individuals and organizations advancing healthcare innovation.

For Individuals          For Organizations

This 6-month course guides participants from conception of healthcare simulation research to a publication submission. This immersive program is tailored for aspiring researchers, novice researchers, simulation educators, healthcare professionals, and experienced simulation researchers interested in the intricacies of simulation-based research, different research methods, research tips from experts, and publication success.

For Individuals

This is a 6-month course guiding the participant from conception of research to a publication submission.

Month 1-3: Asynchronous modules introducing you to healthcare simulation research
The 6-month course begins with asynchronous modules, allowing participants to access engaging content at their convenience. These modules cover topics such as healthcare simulation, study design, data collection, and analysis. They serve as a prerequisite for the 4-Day Intensive, which takes place in Boston, MA.

Month 4: A 4-day Intensive In-Person Workshop at MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA
During the intensive, you will experience a comprehensive overview of healthcare simulation research. You will learn from experts, engage in discussions, and gain insights into best practices. Experienced faculty provide personalized guidance through one-on-one sessions, helping you refine scientific writing skills and develop compelling research manuscripts.

Month 5: 1- day Virtual Data Analysis Session with Faculty; Independent research and writing time for participants with faculty support.

Month 6: 2-day Virtual Writing Workshop
A 2-Day Writing Workshop focuses on enhancing scientific writing abilities, covering effective techniques for structuring articles, crafting abstracts, and presenting results. Additionally, the course offers individual research consults, where you can collaborate directly with faculty members to address specific research challenges and receive valuable feedback.

If interested, you may register for our Presentation Workshop (with an additional fee) to prepare for an optional capstone event—the Annual Healthcare Simulation Research (HSR) Conference. At the conference, participants have the opportunity to present their healthcare simulation research to peers and esteemed healthcare professionals.
