Prerequisites: CA-720. This course introduces the genetic origins of hearing disorders including inheritance patterns and syndromic/non-syndromic genotypes as they relate to the degree, type, and age of hearing loss onset. Genetic counseling for patients and families is
2022-2023: CA-740 Anatomy and Physiology of Balance
Prerequisites: None. This course reviews the anatomy of the peripheral and central vestibular systems as well as the physiology of those systems.
2022-2023: CA-760 Clinical Preparation and Observation
Prerequisites: None. Students observe clinical service delivery, complete HIPPA, FERPA and Human Subjects certification, and receive introductory training in clinical operations including electronic medical records, billing and coding practices, and universal precaution.
