Mass General Brigham recognizes the important contributions that our military veterans make to our nation and to our community. In honor of Veterans Day, we are hosting our annual “Military, Veterans and Families Forum: Join us to learn how Mass General Brigham is serving those who have served”, to thank and recognize our military members, veterans, family members, advocates and allies. The event was recently announced to all employees in Vitals.
This program will include three panel discussions featuring many employees and community members who are developing innovative approaches to improve health care for military members, veterans and families in the fields of:
- Research Innovation: moderated by Merranda S. Logan, MD, MPH, associate chief academic officer, Mass General Brigham
- Patient Care Innovation: moderated by Robert S.D. Higgins, MD, MSHA, president, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and executive vice president, Mass General Brigham
- Workforce Development: moderated by Eric Goralnick, MD, MS, Emergency Medicine attending physician, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and associate professor of Emergency Medicine, Harvard Medical School
The event will also feature remarks from:
- Anne Klibanski, MD, president and CEO of Mass General Brigham
- Gregg Meyer, MD, president of the Community Division and executive vice president of Value Based Care and U.S. Air Force veteran
- Sean Welch, former Home Base patient
