Speakers: Dr. Callie Watkins Liu (Director of JEDI Education and Programs) and Annie Holland (Temple), MS, CCC-SLP (CSD Faculty)
In this session, Dr. Callie Watkins Liu and Annie Holland will present about different microaggressions workshops cases and the corresponding pedagogical rationale for each of them. Microaggressions are very important to address in Health Professions education, and yet the way this happens will vary depending on the audience and context. By exploring different cases, we hope that participants will walk away with a better understanding of what goes into teaching about microaggressions and will gain insights they can use for their own teaching. This session builds on conversations from the JEDI Curriculum and Pedagogy Community of Practice, and Previous JEDI Curriculum and Pedagogy Faculty Development Day sessions.
