In this seminar, Dr. Hogan will review recent NIH funded school-research partnerships on the language basis of reading. Early identification and interventions for poor reader subgroups- dyslexia and developmental language disorder - will be described with a focus on implementation science within school contexts, current legislation changes, and advocacy efforts. Lessons learned from these partnership examples will be relevant for any and all professions seeking to improve evidence-based practice and collaboration.
