Goals of the Interactive Session:
- To provide some historical, contemporary and psychological context for empathy
- To apply a framework to considering use of empathy in a conscious and therapeutic way in the classroom setting
- To align the ideas of cultivating empathy with the anti-oppressive classroom and JEDI principles
- To consider how empathy benefits both learner/patient as well as teacher/clinician
