Facilitated by the Faculty Senate Task Force on JEDI Initiatives
This faculty workshop is designed to empower faculty to incorporate Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) principles into their teaching through the use of case studies. Participants will explore the foundational frameworks and guidelines for developing JEDI-informed case studies across the IHP specialties and curricula. The workshop will provide examples of, and practical tools and strategies for crafting case studies that challenge learners to think critically about intersectionality, systemic inequities, and their role in providing equitable care. Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, faculty will learn to facilitate meaningful conversations that promote cultural humility and prepare learners to engage with diverse patient populations effectively.
