Sylvia K. Perry DNP, MS, ANP-BC, currently practices as an NP in surgical oncology at the Avon Breast Center. She started working at MGH in 1999 as a PCA and staff nurse in medical oncology. She has practiced extensively in primary care, served as Nursing Director in Medicine and Oncology, and Research NP in Neuroendocrine. She holds a BA in History from Yale, MS in Health and Social Behavior from Harvard School of Public Heath, MSN from MGH Institute of Health Professions, and DNP from University of New Hampshire. Her doctoral work focused on clinician well-being and burnout prevention. She is certified as a health and well-being coach through Wellcoaches, and she founded the MGH APP Wellness Committee. She serves on the Advisory Board of MGH Center for Professional Well-being and MGH Workplace Well-being Collaborative. She teaches Paving the Path to Wellness, a lifestyle medicine inspired curriculum offered to patients and colleagues. When not at work, she can be found outside.
