Simon Driver, PhD, is the Director of the Discovery Center for Brain Injury and Concussion Recovery Research at Spaulding Rehabilitation. His research focuses on health promotion efforts for people with brain injury with an emphasis on cardiovascular health through physical activity and nutrition. He has completed several in-person and telehealth-based clinical trials examining the efficacy of a modified Diabetes Prevention Program for people after TBI and stroke. He has a growing interest in comparative effectiveness research and implementation science to ensure the Diabetes Prevention Program is accessible to people after brain injury. His research has been funded by NIDILRR, NIH, DOD, PCORI, and others. Dr. Driver enjoys mentoring; his doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows are independently funded at institutions across the United States.
