Nadine is a physical therapist who graduated in Chile from Universidad del Desarrollo. She worked 8 years in Clínica Alemana, Santiago, Chile, within an inpatient care setting with infants, pediatrics, and adults in the Intensive Care Unit going through acute or chronic phases of their conditions. Nadine's role was associated with ventilatory setting and management and early mobilization to prevent ICU-acquired weakness. As well teaching has always been an important part of her professional development, so she teaches and coordinates a postgraduate program at Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile, named “Diplomado en Paciente Pediátrico Hospitalizado” which is in its fourth version. Simultaneously, Nadine has been engaged in research projects regarding the ventilatory management of pediatric patients with bronchiolitis, from prone positioning to the use of electric impedance tomography at bedside (EIT). Currently, her line of research is having a turn and directing on to investigate diverse techniques of non-invasive brain stimulation, including the mechanisms of action and their use for rehabilitation and pain modulation at Spaulding Neuromodulation Center in Cambridge, Boston.
