Michele Courton Brown is the Chief Business Inclusion and Belonging Officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, where she leads business inclusion initiatives, fostering an environment where belonging is a cornerstone. She chairs the organization’s Inclusion and Belonging Council charged with governance of its 5C operating model and National Committee for Quality Assurance accreditation. She provides oversight of 10 employee resource groups with 1,000 engaged employees and departmental Business Inclusion Councils.

Michele joined BCBSMA in 2020 as VP of Business Development and managing director of Zaffre Investments, BCBSMA’s strategic investment fund.  Previously, she held executive positions at Bank of America and Traveler’s Insurance Companies as foundation president and SVP of charitable asset management. Michele was CEO of Quality Interactions, a health care cultural competency training company, where she currently serves as Executive Board Chair.

A graduate of Boston University, Michele completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program and is an HBS alumni.  Michele serves as a trustee of Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts and Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston.
