Kelsey Blair Black, B.A., has been a member of the Cognitive Neuroscience Group (PI: Yael Arbel, CCC-SLP, PhD) since the summer of 2022. Her research examines the learning mechanisms underlying Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) in children, with a focus on the interaction between implicit and explicit learning systems. She is also investigating the role of statistical learning in children with DLD, as well as their neurophysiological responses to grammatical errors in Artificial Grammar Learning tasks. Kelsey plans to continue her studies in graduate school with the goal of becoming a clinical psychologist specializing in children's mental health.
