Ms. Steinberg joined the CCRA in 2019. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in psychology from Boston University. Prior to pursuing her genetic counseling degree, she was involved in basic science research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where her research focused on human genetic inherited arrhythmia syndromes, and at Boston University, where she conducted research in endocrinology and developmental biology. Following this, Ms. Steinberg joined the department of hematology/oncology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where she worked for several years managing clinical research trials. Ms. Steinberg earned her Master of Science degree in genetic counseling from Arcadia University. After graduate school, she worked for several years as a prenatal genetic counselor at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in the department of Maternal-Fetal-Medicine and at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Perinatal Diagnostic Unit. At the CCRA, Ms. Steinberg provides risk assessment and genetic counseling services in the Breast/Ovarian and GI Cancer Genetics clinics. She is the lead genetic counselor of the MGH Hereditary Hematologic Malignancy Clinic.
