After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Katharine began her career at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a New Patient Coordinator in the Lymphoma Program. Inspired by the patients, nurses, physicians, and groundbreaking research, she decided to pursue a career in nursing. She completed the Accelerated BSN program at the IHP in 2019 and began working as a registered nurse at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on the Dana-Farber Inpatient Hematology/Oncology floor.
Caring for oncology patients has been a profoundly meaningful experience. The resilience and courage of this population continue to shape the nurse she is today. She is passionate about supporting and empowering future nurses and hopes to inspire students to lead with empathy, curiosity, and purpose. She's excited to serve as an Academic Support Coach and help guide nursing students as they grow into confident, compassionate professionals.
