Jameson is a first-year PhD student with a background in Speech Language Pathology and Music. Combining both interests, he completed his Master’s program in Speech Pathology with a Voice Disorders Concentration. He comes to the program after completing five years of clinical practice at MGH as part of the Inpatient Medical SLP team, and has worked in Voice Research for the past two years.

His research interests broadly include voice and upper airway disorders, specifically focusing on using ambulatory measures to improve the detection of voice disorder potential or response to treatment, as well as psychosocial factors that may changes in real-world vocal behaviors following treatment.
Jameson’s work has been presented at podium presentations at several national and international conferences including: The Voice Foundation, Fall Voice,

Advancements in Quantitative Laryngology, and the London Voice Symposium.
Jameson’s mentor is Dr. Jarrad Van Stan, and receives guidance from Drs. Robert Hillman and Daryush Mehta at the MGH Voice Center as part of the Vocal Hyperfunction Clinical Research Center. He is active in data collection, recruitment, and analysis for multiple projects that include Ambulatory Voice Monitoring, High Speed Videoendoscopy, and measuring vocal muscle activation through the use of Laryngeal Electromyography.
