Jim Vitagliano works in the Office of Enrollment Services at MGH Institute of Health Professions. As Registrar, he manages and maintains the student record system, insuring compliance with legal privacy issues. He also supervises the Bursar and oversees all Student Accounts operations.
He is responsible for producing the academic calendar and overseeing the annual revisions to the official school catalog. Jim works with the Dean of Enrollment Services in establishing appropriate policies and procedures related to registration and the student's permanent academic record. He is responsible for compiling student enrollment reports, including IPEDS, Peterson’s, and other federal reporting. He also coordinates all Commencement Activities at the Institute.
Jim was chosen as the Institute's 2013 Staff Employee of the Year and has served as Chair of the Staff Council.
Prior to joining the MGH Institute in 2001, he was the Registrar at the Boston Conservatory. Previously he worked for 16 years at Boston University in various positions including Registrar, School for the Arts; Registrar, School of Social Work; and Schedules Coordinator, Office of the Registrar.
