What is your current research focused on (please provide a brief summary statement in layman’s terms?
I'm interested in analyzing speech production through perceptual, acoustic, aand kinematic lens to understand clinical typology in motor disorders, and in turn, to understand how it affects participation restrictions in day-to-day communication contexts.
My research investigates the connection between speech motor deficits and social (dis)connectedness in individuals with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, with the goal of informing clinical interventions that facilitate communicative participation and social interactions.
