Daniel McGovern is an Instructor in the Department of Physical Therapy of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at MGH Institute of Health Professions. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with degrees in sports medicine and physical therapy. Dan earned his transitional DPT from MGHIHP.

His clinical career has focused on sports-related injuries and rehabilitation. Dr. McGovern is a board-certified sports clinical specialist, a certified athletic trainer, and has completed a fellowship program in Applied Functional Science. He is the former sports physical therapist for Boston College Athletics (2015-2024). He is currently an Advanced Sports Clinical Specialist at Spaulding Rehabilitation in Hanover, MA.
