Emile R. "Mike" Boutin Jr., EdD
Mike Boutin, EdD, is a full-time Academic Support Counselor, in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at MGH Institute of Health Professions.
Prior to coming to the Institute, Mike worked for more than 20 years for the Archdiocese of Boston as a parish priest, and after that, worked as an adjunct professor teaching comparative religions and end-of-life issues.
Mike received his Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University, his Master of Arts degree in Liturgical Studies from the University of Notre Dame, and his MDiv from St. John Seminary. He received his Bachelor of Arts in French and music from Tufts University.
Mike brings a breadth of experience as a pastoral counselor, dealing with issues of relationships, identity, group and team work, stress and time management, and study and learning skills.
