To better support student success and create even more opportunities for collaboration, the MGH Institute of Health Professions has realigned several graduate programs within a new academic home.

The Master of Health Administration and Master of Science in Healthcare Data Analytics programs are now housed in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS), within the newly established Department of Health Sciences. In addition, the Department of Health Professions Education has joined SHRS.

Led by Dr. LaToya Trowers-Bell, the MHA program helps healthcare administrators gain the leadership skills, interprofessional network, and expert mentorship needed to drive transformative, equitable change within organizations and communities. Healthcare leaders looking to leverage date to tackle complex problems and make more informed decisions will benefit from the Healthcare Data Analytics program, led by Dr. Shuhan He. The Health Professions Education program, led by Dr. Roger Edwards, teaches faculty how to educate the generation of educators.

“These additions further strengthen our interprofessional portfolio and open new opportunities for collaboration in teaching, service, and scholarship,” said SHRS Dean Dr. Laura Plummer.

Students will also benefit from a richer academic community, closer connections across disciplines, and an environment designed to prepare them for leadership in today’s complex healthcare landscape.
