Elevating Practice program graduate
Dr. Wong was born and raised in Queens, New York. Growing up in an immigrant household, he found a passion for serving Asian American communities through various volunteer and job opportunities in his upbringing. After deciding to pursue physical therapy as a career, he received his combined Bachelor of Science in Health Studies and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University.
His academic practicum during his final year of graduate school focused on a Strength and Balance interventional program for Cantonese-speaking older adults in Boston’s Chinatown. Afterward, he completed the MGH Institute of Health Profession’s Orthopaedic Clinical Residency where he participated in research exploring the experiences of culturally and linguistically diverse learners in physical therapy education. He now works as a board-certified orthopaedic clinical specialist at Spaulding Outpatient Center in Malden while also teaching as a lab instructor at MGH IHP’s physical therapy program. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking new recipes, and listening to audiobooks.
