Title: “Mind-STOP: A proposed virtual reality mobile application to reduce stress and burnout for occupational, physical, and speech therapists in acute care”
Mind-STOP is a proposed virtual reality mobile app to reduce stress to improve job performance and well-being for therapists in acute care.
How did your work on your Innovation Project inform your professional work?
Working through my innovation project, I have enhanced my professional work by learning how to implement new technologies to improve the quality of healthcare, strengthening my leadership skills to collaborate across disciplines, expanding partnerships across a hospital organization, and communicating results using online resources and presentations.
What was your favorite course in the program?
My favorite course was OH/CSH-888 Quality Improvement and Program Evaluation in the Health Professions.
How have you immediately applied coursework to your professional life?
I have applied my knowledge of leadership, skill development, and quality improvement to advance my career in this field. I am actively taking steps toward a career in quality improvement while beginning leadership roles in my current position.
What are your goals for the future after you graduate?
A career in quality improvement and potentially diving into some sort of consulting job.
