What do you think is special about the Post-Professional OTD program here at the MGH Institute?
This PP-OTD program is clearly a leader in innovative OT education and practice with a specific, intentional focus on building inclusive practices and solutions. As a student, you learn concrete skills and techniques that can be immediately applied to your practice first-hand from leaders who are advancing academia, the OT professional, and societal systems.
Why did you choose to come to this program?
I chose this program because of its emphasis on and dedication to mentorship and life balance. As a military spouse in California, having access to virtual programming with flexible, asynchronous learning through an excellent academic institution was invaluable. I was sold when I learned about their intentional process for pairing students with a doctoral mentor who will help grow new skills for solution-building, rather than only content-focused matching.
What are your goals for the future after you graduate?
After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in OT academia and to explore resulting interdisciplinary work opportunities resulting from my innovation project activities.
