Members of the 2026–2027 Executive Board of the Student Government Association (SGA) have officially assumed their roles as the summer semester begins. The top priority? Bringing a shared commitment to strengthening student life and institutional engagement across the Institute.
Emily Pickard, a second-year OTD student, is stepping into the role of president this year, alongside Vice President Reilly Igoe, a second-year DEN student; Secretary Sarah Gray, a second-year CSD student; and Treasurer Nicole Kamel, a second-year CSD student.
Looking forward to her time as president, Pickard has set her sights on connections within and around the institute.
"My goal for the next academic year is to enhance engagement and unity within the Institute through interprofessional collaboration and to also prioritize giving back to our surrounding community here in Charlestown," she said.
Igoe says she wants to “connect and enhance relationships between IHP students and alumni,” while Gray says she'll devote her time to student voices: "My goal in SGA this year is to build a stronger partnership with the President and Board of Trustees through consistent collaboration, sharing student feedback, and creating meaningful opportunities for student voices to inform institution-wide priorities and decisions."
Kamel applauded this collective approach and emphasized the importance of the Institute’s interprofessional pursuit.
“Through interprofessional collaboration, my goal this year is to keep communication open and have student voices truly shape events and projects," Kaml noted. "I want to make it easier for students in every program to share what matters to them so we can build initiatives that feel meaningful and inclusive for everyone."
