Soon, leading the MGH Institute of Health Professions Office of Enrollment Services will not be the only leadership position that Director of Admissions Lauren Finn will hold. In May, she will start her tenure as President of the New England Association for Graduate Enrollment Management (NEGAP).

NEGAP is a membership association that advances professional growth, connection opportunities, and resource exchange to professionals serving graduate students in the New England area. This is the regional chapter of the Association for Graduate Enrollment Management (NAGAP). Finn has served as the Vice President of NEGAP since 2024, and previously was the Marketing Committee Chair. She will serve as president through May 2028.

“When I started at MGH Institute in admissions in 2011, I was encouraged to become more involved in professional development, and that’s when I was introduced to NEGAP. I found it extremely valuable to build connections outside of my own organization and having been at the same institution for over 15 years, it’s been really helpful to make connections, gain insights, and share best practices with other organizations around New England.”

This new role as president will allow Finn to continue expanding her expertise, in turn helping the Institute evolve and innovate its enrollment management practices. She is hoping this new leadership experience will continue to give her new tools and best practices.

“It’s hopefully going to elevate the institution in the higher education landscape. I’m also hoping to encourage admissions professionals on our team to become more involved and volunteer, because it really is a wonderful environment and membership to be involved with. I want the organization to be the leaders in strategic thinking and reshaping the future of enrollment management, and I think the only way to do that is to get out there and talk with other institutions and learn from them.”

If interested, NEGAP is hosting its summer conference on June 4th at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Registration opens soon!
