For more than 50 years, nurse practitioners have been the health care providers of choice for many people because of their unique combination of nursing expertise and skills and commitment to quality health care.
Today, more than 270,000 NPs across the nation in primary, acute and specialty roles see more than 1 billion patients each year, providing health care that can be trusted.
The IHP is proud to have been part of that mission since 1985, when students in the first class of our Master of Science in Nursing program graduated. Today, the School of Nursing offers seven specialty areas, graduating more than 100 NPs each year.
To the more than 1,500 nurse practitioner alumni, the hundreds of faculty, clinical instructors, and preceptors, and the more than 300 current students, please accept our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for your hard work and contributions that shape the future of nursing education and patient care.
Sincerely,
M. Elaine Tagliareni, EdD, RN, CNE, FAAN
Interim Dean and Professor
