Students, faculty, and advisors gathered in Shouse yesterday to honor and celebrate students who are making a difference in the MGH Institute community. Organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services, the ceremony highlighted five awards that went to individuals and teams.
“It’s really important to be able to honor the work that all the students do,” said Luella Benn, Assistant Dean for Student Services. “Especially to look at how the students are contributing above and beyond to make life better for everyone in our community.”
Added Nada Jovanovic, Student Services Coordinator: “The award ceremony not only benefits us, but it benefits the students as they move out into the professional world, to know what it takes to collaborate, to go the extra mile, and contribute in a meaningful way.”
“Thank you so much for this award,” said Natasha Nary, speaking on behalf of the Outstand Group IMPACT award winners. “As a new club, it is such an honor to be recognized for the impact we have made on the school and the community”.
“Winning this means more to me than I can really say,” said Madison Gullotti, recipient of the Emerging Leader Award. “It’s an honor alone to be part of the Physician Assistants program, but knowing I’ve made other people’s time in the PA program, which his very hard, a little bit easier, that I’ve helped guide people really just means a lot. I’m very grateful for my cohort and for my faculty.”
