Members of the MGH Institute community were able to take a break yesterday during a tea time run by the Office of Mission, Values, and Community Excellence in Shouse. MVCE holds these events to provide opportunities to step away from their busy schedules and interact with new people.
“What I love about this event is that we never know who will come through, but we always know that it will be a really nice connection opportunity, and everyone will meet someone new,” said Director of Community Excellence, Education and Programs Callie Watkins Liu. “It is never the exact same group, and yet consistent every time. I also love how it is an opportunity for faculty, staff and students from across the IHP to just relax, take a moment, have some tea and learn a little more about each other. Sometimes people just stop by for a moment before finishing their workday, sometimes it is a quick break, and sometimes they stay for the whole time and usually a little after as well. It’s a refreshing reset.”
The MVCE office will be holding another tea time in the fall so keep an eye out for an announcement about the date, time, and location.
