With exams and due dates for final assignments fast approaching, the library staff hosted the first of two events last Thursday. In addition to hot chocolate with marshmallows and candy canes, the library provided coloring pages, crayons, pencils, and markers to allow students to warm up and unwind for an hour between classes and studying.

“Every Spring and Fall semester, we try to host an in-person study break kick-off, to celebrate our students' accomplishments and to give them a chance to take a break during a potentially stressful time for them,” said MGH Institute Librarian, Katie Stinson. “We're hoping that stopping by the library, even if you're just grabbing a snack or a craft pack, will help raise spirits and promote the library as another place on campus that's here to support our students, both academically and holistically.”

Thursday’s event marked the beginning of several library activities that will take place before the end of the semester. There will be another event on December 4, when the library will host a lunchtime crafting event, with pre-packed crafting kits. There is also a virtual library quiz available through noon on December 10 where two students will win an IHP beanie.
