How are financial decisions made at the Institute level? And how do those decisions affect a student’s academic experience?
Those were just some of the questions that were answered during today's Student Town Hall, where President Paula Milone-Nuzzo and Chief Financial Officer, Zhaopeng Ji, presented students with insights into the MGH Institute’s financial planning and priorities. In an address that lasted 30 minutes, the duo used a Power Point presentation filled with graphs and data that highlighted the IHP’s revenue sources - and expenses.
This direct interaction allowed students of all different programs to gain clarity on key financial topics – specifically the tuition and fees due for attending MGH Institute. A subject heavily addressed by President Milone-Nuzzo was the cost of attending school here, and the Institute’s efforts to stem any increases in tuition.
“In fiscal year ‘25 - the one that we're in now - there was a 0% tuition and fee rate increase.” said Milone-Nuzzo. “We want to make sure that everybody can come and afford to come to the IHP and get educated, because we know how special our education is.”
Approximately 30 students attended the event in Shouse, and more tuned in via Zoom.
For those who missed the event, a link to the recording will be on Vitals.
