School of Nursing Associate Professor Clara Gona has a new credential: American Academy of Nursing Fellow.
Gona was formally inducted this past weekend during the Academy’s annual ceremony in Washington, D.C. after having been named this summer.
“This experience was more meaningful than I ever imagined,” said Gona, a Zimbabwe native who has been with the MGH Institute since 2011. “I am thrilled to have achieved this milestone in my career.”
On hand to celebrate were Gona’s MGH Institute colleagues including President Paula Milone-Nuzzo; Associate Professor Emerita Rita Olans; Director of the Center for Climate Change, Climate Justice, and Health, Suellen Breakey, Dean Emeritus Ken White; Associate Professor Margie Sipe; Interim Nursing Dean Pat Reidy; Director of Faculty Development Elaine Tagliareni; and Associate Professor Brenna Morse.
Nominated by White and Tagliareni, Gona is the 16th MGH Institute faculty member inducted.
