The Institute was well represented at the recent American Physical Therapy Association of Massachusetts’ Chapter Conference.

Students, faculty, and alumni received awards:

  • Clarence Lee, DPT ’24 received the Haley Cremer Foundation Award. This award recognizes a student exhibiting four core values: demonstrating compassion for others, perseverance, insight, and championing renewal of spirit.
  • Liz Abare, DPT ’24  was awarded the Ruth Hall Student Award. This award is designed to recognize a physical therapy student who demonstrates the professional qualities of dedication and caring which exemplified the career of Ruth Hall.
  • Faculty members Anne McCarthy Jacobson, Chris Clock, and Monica Arrigo (L-R) received the Best Case Study Poster Award for, “Balint Groups in Physical Therapy – A pathway toward developing the affective domain in students and addressing the risk of burnout in the profession.”
  • Alum Katie Wadland, DPT ’08, received the Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Practice Award. It is given to a PT who is dedicated to their patients, their professions, and to sharing their knowledge with others.
