The MGH Institute was well represented at the largest physical therapy conference in the U.S., the American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting, which took place in Houston last month. Dean of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Laura Plummer was involved in two presentations, including one with PT alum Ana Sanchez Junkin, and Assistant Professors Rania Karim and Benjamin Adams each took part in a presentation. There were also posters by faculty including Karim, PT Instructor Gwen Larsen, Assistant Professor Elizabeth Cornforth, and Associate Professor Devashish Tiwari.
Physical Therapy student Melisa Erdal attended the conference after earning the Catherine Worthingham Fellows Student Scholarship; she was among those selected from 330 applicants. Former professor and associate department chair Dr. Diane Jette, who now teaches as an adjunct professor, was presented with the President’s Award from the Academy of Education during the conference.
