On the second floor of Building 39 yesterday, students enjoyed sandwiches and drinks while listening to President Paula Milone-Nuzzo provide an update on campus events and initiatives. It was part of Milone-Nuzzo’s semi-annual Student Town Hall, an event providing students facetime with the president while allowing them to ask questions.

“I'm here for you. The most important people in this organization are you, the students,” Milone-Nuzzo said in her opening remarks. “And so, it's important for me to have this time with you. It's important for me to answer whatever's on your mind in terms of issues.”

Topics covered included the roles of the IHP’s leaders and strategic brainstorming around student affairs and support, in hopes of forming a plan to achieve these goals incorporating students input.

Kevin Finn, Interim Assistant Provost and Dean of Students, spoke on the journey of an IHP student and how the Office of Enrollment Services and Office of Student Affairs are trying to make the experience as seamless as possible for students.

“Why are we doing this?” asked Finn. “We want to enhance the student experience and not make it transactional. We want to make this experience individual to the needs of our students. So, what do you need? And how can we support you in that?”

Finn and Luella Benn, Assistant Dean of Student Services, shared resources and staff member names for students to use for support. The floor was then opened up for questions.
