More than 200 MGH Institute students attended the first-ever Winter Gala event on Saturday night in 1CW, an event that included music, drinks, and food. Formal wear was encouraged, so students donned their best outfits for photo ops and fun.
The gala had been in the planning stages since the summer, when the Student Government Association (SGA) began brainstorming, planning, and executing the big event. The hope was to put on an event that was bigger than year's successful student prom. With the help of SGA board members and student representatives, the Office of Student Affairs and Services, and Campus Services, the mission was accomplished.
"My personal favorite part of the event was when the occasional individual would approach me to share how much fun they were having" said SGA President Mackenzie Looze. "The whole point of the event was to provide an opportunity for the students at MGH IHP to meet people from other programs and enjoy themselves. As I watched all of the smiling faces, beautiful gowns, and sharp suits I couldn't help but be proud that the SGA could provide the student body with such an event."
