Prospective students toured the campus, learned from student panels, information sessions, a resource fair, and research presentations during the MGH Institute’s first ever, all-program open house last Friday.
“The Office of Admissions has offered a wide array of program-specific events over the years with faculty support, both on-campus and virtually,” said Director of Admissions, Lauren Putnam. “While program-specific events are meaningful in their own way, we are truly better together as an institution. It is what we all have in common that sets us apart from other institutions.”
Approximately 115 people and their guests attended the event, enjoyed food and beverages, and took home “swag bags” filled with MGH Institute-branded goodies.
“Our first-ever open house was a big success, and we couldn’t be prouder,” said Enrollment Advisor Fatimah Jeudy, who welcomed the visitors and handed out resources and MGH Institute gear. “The admissions team put in a ton of effort to make it all happen, and it really paid off — it was a great day for everyone involved.”
Associate Provost of Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Kevin Finn, shared his pride in the success of an event of this magnitude.
“The open house offered prospective students a comprehensive look at MGH IHP's academic programs and campus,” said Finn. “Attendees had the opportunity to engage with faculty and current students, gaining insights into the curriculum and campus life. I enjoyed observing the interactions that the students had with faculty, current students, and alumni. Overall, the event was a huge success and one that we will continue to do moving forward.”
While the open house has taken place, there are many other ways to learn about the Institute, including:
